Our installers, Bob and Kyle, did a great job making this customer’s already amazing car ever better. The coupe and the LS sedan were equipped with the standard sound system: an AM/FM/CD receiver plus a 4-speaker array. What we ended up with was just amazing! The highs were loud and clear and the bass was THUNDEROUS! This ride and this system are truly impressive. 2008 CHEVY COBALT SPEAKERS INSTALL
We needed to use a special interface to install this unit in his car. This customer already had a head unit from a previous install. This 1000 watt beast was just what was needed for the power hungry M1 Subs. These subs are powered by a Memphis Power Reference PR1.1000 mono- lock amp. The Memphis Logo is embroidered right into the carpeting of the box. These boxes not only sound incredible, but they look awesome too. We mounted them in a custom ported Memphis enclosure. We powered this up with a Memphis Power Reference PR4.50 Amplifier.Īnd then there was BASS!!!!… Our customer wanted a LOT of bass! We gave it to him in the form of 2 12″ M1 Dual Voice Coil cast basket high end subs. We decided on the MSYNC6 component speakers for the front doors and the Power Reference 6×9 3 ways for the rear fill. Our job was to make this hot ride ROCK! We knew that Memphis would fill the bill. It was loaded to the gills! And since it appears that Chevy has canceled the 2008 supercharged Cobalt, he bought his just in time! And he really stepped to the plate when he bought his Cobalt SS. I guess we did our usual great job for him in the past because he REALLY stepped to the plate this time. The Cobalt’s owner has done business with us before. But 2 jobs stood out big time: A complete Memphis system in a LOADED 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS and yet another complete Memphis system in a souped up 2007 Ford Mustang. We had several big jobs going on among a pile of our normal work… window tint, remote starters, security, etc. This week was a very busy week at Mobile Edge.
